Ta Keo
At 08.00, you will be greeted by our guide and driver at the designated location in Phnom Penh. They will give you a 15-minute overview of the trip and safety precautions. Start with a short transfer to Sáng a local market located 25km south of Phnom Penh. Start cycling from the busy market and observe the bustling trade that is part of daily life. Ride your bike on the dikes and admire the beautiful countryside (through Svay Kham, Wat Cha, and Prey Kambass), where you can see pagodas and traditional houses. Make some stops to interact with the local families and take snack breaks. Upon arriving at Angkor Borei, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then visit the Angkor Borei Museum and the Prasat Phnom Da temple. Located atop the mountain, Prasat Phnom Da is one of the most significant temples in the region. It is an ancient temple dating to the Funan era of the 1st to 6th century. I believe it is also the largest temple of this type. It stands alone atop the mountain and can easily be seen from afar if it was not shielded by trees. Take the speedboat ride to Ta Keo for about 50 minutes, on arrival check-in at the hotel and relax.
Late afternoon, the guide and driver drive you around the small town of Ta Keo and have dinner at the local restaurant.

Our cycling journey begins at the hotel as we pedal through the bustling main market of Krong Doun Keo and onto the village roads leading to Kampong Trach. Our goal for the day is to cover a distance of 60-70km. The scenic back roads take us through small villages, with some parts of the route being paved while others are covered in red dirt. We also cycle alongside the Cambodia Railway, making occasional stops in the villages for snacks and breaks every 23 to 30km. Upon reaching Kampong Trach Cave, we spend around 30 minutes exploring the ancient cave nestled within the original mountain. The area's highlight is a collection of limestone caves and tubes carved into the nearby mountain. One of the large caves in the heart of the mountain has a collapsed roof, creating a small enclosed jungle. We then transfer to the crab market in Kep via a support vehicle and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Check-in at the hotel and free at leisure.
Late afternoon, we drive around Kep City and take some time to walk around the beach before we are going to have dinner at the local restaurant.
