Siem Reap Tour Highlight

Upon your arrival atSiem Reap International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your tour guide and driver & be transferred to the city center for hotel check-in. Free time on your own to explore Siem Reap for the rest of the day before staying overnight in Siem Reap. 

Start early in the morning to beat the crowd, we begin to explore the fabulous Ta Prohm which is well known to cinemagoers through the film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001). The jungle-covered temple embraced by enormous cotton silk trees and their fairy-tale roots makes you feel haunted and evokes emotions that you may never forget. After visiting the ancient temple ruins, we continue to discover the magnificent Angkor Wat - the largest religious temple in the world considered a masterpiece of Khmer architecture. This World Heritage Site owns the longest extensive bas-relief in the world which runs around the outside of the central temple complex & carves stories from mythology.  

Enjoy delicious lunch in the local restaurant. 

In the afternoon, explore the impressive Royal City Angkor Thom, with huge statues of demons and gods, arranged on both sides of the stone bridge. These statues depict the churning of the ocean of milk,. Next, venture to Bayon Temple, decorated with 216 smiling faces which are said to bear a striking resemblance to the king.  Later, stroll around the complex consisting of the Baphuon, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace and Royal Palace area. Overnight stay in Siem Reap.

After breakfast, we depart from Siem Reap to head to the gorgeous countryside. During the scenic drive, our knowledgeable tour guide will point out areas of local interest along the way and answer any questions you may have. Arriving at the village, you will take a stroll through the village houses, observing a wide range of locals’ fascinating daily life activities. Such as the way they wash their vehicles, sell gasoline in whiskey bottles or how they sell food at the small shops on the side of small streets. It is also very interesting to make friends with the locals while seeing their rural local life. Walk around the rice paddies and immerse yourself into the natural scenery and amazing local life., As you have the opportunity to watch locals doing their daily work, such as making rice wine and handicraft works, whilst you are invited to try some fresh coconut and some homemade rice wine to savor.

Get in your vehicle for the transfer towards the floating community of Me Chrey Village. Upon arrival at the quay, you will embark on a motorized boat driven by experienced and safe local drivers, to start the incredible journey. The boat ride takes you through the floating village and will give you the chance to witness ordinary Cambodians going about their lively daily life in the floating village. Such as people catching a quick meal, doing their laundry, going to school or socializing with friends. This unique boat tour offers you endless photo opportunities as the boat cruises along the river bank with the spectacular scenery. Afterwards, you will head back to the port, where your air-conditioned vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to Siem Reap (Note: Floating community is highly recommended between September and February).
